Chapter
Four
Danielle-Rachelle and Zac sat down at a table and waited for their order
to be up. "So, what's going o at the school?" asked Danielle.
"What do you mean?" asked Zac.
"I mean: are you in the movie they're shooting there, or
what?" asked Danni-Rae. He raised his eyebrows.
"How do you know about that?" asked Zac.
"Ah, a better question is: how could I not know about that?"
asked Danni. He grinned. Dan called their order. They both got up and
grabbed their coffees. When they sat down again, Danielle-Rachelle took
a small sip of her coffee. "So, are you really in the movie?"
He looked puzzled at this, but then his expression changed back.
"Uh...yeah," said Zac. He took a sip of coffee.
"Cool, what's it about?" asked Danni.
"I can't really say," said Zac. Danni-Rae gave him a look.
"You see, I signed a contract, and-".
"No, no, it's cool. I don't need an explanation," said
Danielle. There was a small silence. "Do you act a lot?"
"Sort of," said Zac. "I've been in a couple of
things."
"Oh. That's so cool," said Danielle-Rachelle.
"Yeah, uh, so what do you like to do?" asked Zac.
"Well, I usually just hang out with my friends," said
Danielle-Rachelle. Her phone rang. "Oh, sorry. I'll be right back.
I swear." She flipped open her phone and walked out of the shop.
"Hello?"
"Hey, I need you to get over here. I need to go to the library and
Mom won't be home for another hour," said AJ's voice.
"Look, Destiny can handle Chance and I'll be home in a little
while. I'm busy," said Danni-Rae. She hung up and turned her phone
off. She walked back into the shop. "I'm really, really, really
sorry about that." He smiled.
"It's okay," said Zac.
"So...what do you do when you're not acting?" asked Danielle.
"Regular stuff. I play video games, skateboard, surf, hang out with
friends..." he said.
"Do you travel a lot?" asked Danni.
"Uh...not really. I'm usually shooting in California," he
said.
"Oh, how's it over there?" asked Danielle-Rachelle.
"It's cool most of the time," said Zac.
"I wanna live there one day," said Danni. Zac's cell phone
rang. He blushed.
"Sorry," said Zac.
"Don't worry. It's understandable," said Danni. He nodded,
then walked outside to answer it. He came back two minutes later.
"I'm really sorry about that, but I have to get back to the
set."
"Oh, no, umm...it's okay," said Danielle. She stood up,
grabbed her coffee, and they walked outside together.
"Thanks," said Zac. "That was nice." He was smiling.
"No, umm, thank you," said Danni. "We should do this
again sometime. I really enjoyed myself." They both smiled.
"So, can I get your number so we can do this again?" said Zac.
"Oh, uh, sure," she said. She gave him her number and he
entered it in his phone, then took a picture of her and saved it to his
phonebook. "Well, I'll see you around."
"Definitely," he said. They bid each other good bye,
reluctantly, then got into their cars and left the parking lot.

Danielle-Rachelle rolled over in her bed that night. She couldn't get to
sleep. she was lost in thoughts about Zac. She had been all day. "I
wonder what he's doing?" she thought to herself for about the
millionth time this day. She stood up and walked downstairs. No one was
awake, but it wasn't too late. It was only eleven o' clock, or so. She
walked out into the humid night air in her pajamas and slippers. She
took a deep breath and looked around outside. Then, she walked back
inside, grabbed her car keys from a key hook and went out to her car.
She slid into the driver's seat. She turned on the car and backed out of
her driveway. She was going on a drive. She drove around the
neighborhood. Her cell phone rang on the passengers' seat almost scaring
her. "Hello?" she said in to the phone.
"Can I talk to Danielle-Rachelle?" asked a guys' voice.
"This is she," said Danni-Rae.
"Oh. Hey. It's Zac" said Zac.
"Oh, Hey!" said Danni-Rae, excited.
"Did I wake you up?" he asked.
"No. I was up thinking..." she said.
"What were you thinking about?" asked Zac.
"Things and people," said Danni.
"Am I one of those things or people?" asked Zac.
"Possibly..." said Danielle.
"Oh really? Cause that 'possibly' sounds a lot like a 'yes" to
me," said Zac. Danielle grinned ear to ear.
"No. That's just a 'possibly'" said Danni-Rae.
