Zac Efron 

Biography

I first saw Zac Efron when he became a cast member of the WB TV show, Summerland.  Zac played the part of Cameron Bale.  It’s easy to see why Zac Efron shirtless became a popular teen idol.  He is cute and funny!  He seems like he could be the boy next door.  Zac’s popularity soared when he took the part of Troy Bolton in the Disney Channel movie “High School Musical”.  Zac proved he is multitalented.  In the movie, Zac plays Troy,  a well-liked basketball star who decides to try out for the talent show, singing with Gabriella (Vanessa Anne Hudgens).  The movie became a breakaway hit for the Disney Channel.  The soundtrack CD sold out in stores so quickly that stores could not keep it in stock.

“High School Musical” catapulted Zac into instant super-stardom, especially among teen girls. Suddenly, Zac Efron shirtless (or fully clothed) was thrust into the limelight, appearing on the cover of all the popular teen magazines.  He is so cute and friendly!  His easygoing personality is like his character of Troy Bolton. I like the sweet way he treats Gabriella.  I like the fact that Zac can sing, dance and act. 

It doesn’t hurt that Zac Efron shirtless is cute, too!  Zac has brown hair and blue eyes, with a friendly smile.  He has become so popular that his parents had to change their phone number (although we have his address!)  There are many fan sites on the internet that are dedicated to Zac.  You can find his picture and articles about him in almost every teen magazine around.  Teen girls have always found talented, cute, famous boys exciting.  Every new generation of teen girls has several teen stars they look up to.  Zac’s charisma is still growing.  With production starting soon on “High School Musical 2”, the sequel to “High School Musical”, the talented Zac Efron, shirtless and wearing everything in between, will surely not go away too soon.  Zac hopes to continue his acting career and hopes to attend either UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) or USC (University of Southern California) to major in film study.
